Okay so like my central concern with this bit is I really don't want this to feel like just a repeat of Chapter 3's ending. Which is difficult!!! Cause it's conceptually similar, a climactic scene revealing our character's space ship has ended up in Home Bound. I'm think we could maybe distinguish it by having Glard not crash his ship? I had two, very similar versions in mind basically. The gang is like. In the ship. Everything has stopped. They're like "did it work?" Sunny looks out the window and starts cackling with joy. SPLIT POINT HERE OPTION ONE Sunny runs for the door and beckons for Jiro to follow. I like having a panel here of Sunny pulling Jiro upwards, like helping him up a ramp (maybe at the door? maybe the ship has landed at an angle, so exiting the ship requires going up an incline, and Sunny is helping Jiro through?. Sunny pulls Jiro by the sleeve or the hem of his cloak through the woods, incredibly excited She reveals the edge of the woods, past the trees a small town. She decleares "welcome to fairwell!" or something like that. NOTE: Drawing "a town" in a way that is recognisable can actually be pretty difficult? lotta detail. Depends on how far away their vantage point is. idk, I'm not super enthused to do that to myself. OPTION TWO Sunny beckons Jiro to the window in this version. Zoom out, the ship is still flying in the air, but it's through a sunsetting sky. Big reveal panel, Sunny is like "welcome to fairwell" or whatever the fuck too. They're flying over fairwell! Actually my note about drawing a whole town being tough applies to this one too lol. No win situation. We could have reactions of characters on the ground? Moon-Soo and Sitara and Cliff and shit? Although Cliff would be like "Aveans, I have to destroy them" and I don't really feel like paying off that misunderstanding so maybe not. ANYWAY I don't know how I feel about either of these. Maybe we need more Glard in here. Maybe Glard is like no, Sunny... this is only begininnging. And hten the credits roll. Okay not that but you get me. We GOTTA have this page, we can't just not show the characters arrive here, but I can't think of that much "interesting" I can do with this, that's not just me going through the motions. Maybe it'd be fine to just have a cute moment? Maybe what we need is a proper endpoint for the Sunny+Jiro stuff this arc, like they come to a new status quo and that's affirmed. And it's not perfect, not everything is resolved, but it's narratively satisfying. Like Sunny and Jiro stop here and have a talk, and Sunny's like hey you can crash at my place if you don't wanna go HOME home. and then jiro is like. ok lol. idk.
