A recent high school grad and the local exorcist of the sleepy little town of Fairwell! JasperCoral is kind, outgoing, and always eager to help out a friend -- or a stranger -- in need.

He (she?) has been visiting the world of Love Bomb in her (his?) "girl disguise" in an attempt to get his dad back. And that's her only motivation, of course.

She was getting friendly with Cliff Mason for a spell, there, but things are awkward now. He's seen some things he couldn't unsee, said some things she couldn't take back.

Better to focus on finding Sunny again. And, naturally, that involves heading to Love Bomb in her "girl disguise".

After Jiro went missing, Coral took it upon herself to get help out the residents of Hollidae with their Proteus problem. A valiant goal! But unfortunately, not one without consequence: a debate gone wrong with Proteus himself led to her becoming stuck in enemy territory, far away from home.

After a series of mishaps in Love Bomb, Sunny's gotten herself stuck inside Last Gun. Uh oh! Fortunately the Aveans have mistaken her for one of their own. She's gonna need every trick in the bullshit book to get herself out of this one.She's already asserted herself as queen of the labs -- and she doesn't even have a PhD.

It could get real lonely out there, pretending to be someone you're not on an alien planet. But fortunately she's got her new best mate with her: that grim little bastard Jiro, who she's gotten on with like a house on fire.

She’s taken the full tour of the other worlds and turned up right back where she started in Home Bound. But that’s not to say nothing’s changed: she carries with her the knowledge of dark times ahead, and her new friends Jiro and Glard to help her face them.

Moon-Soo

JasperCoral's other best friend from debate club. He's a calm and analytical sort who deconstructs his opponent's arguments piece by piece!

He's also pretty good with computers.

Lately, all the weirdness has got him on edge. He helped old Cliff Mason out with a ghost problem, then went exploring in his crashed pod afterwards. There, he discovered something curious: a game console from the future, loaded with a very, very familiar game...

Rex

JasperCoral's deceased father. He used to be an exorcist too, and now he's training his kid in the ways of the Mundy family line from beyond the grave.

He was cruelly taken from his family-- again-- when Casandra put him in an Orb. While he was Orbed by Casandra, thanks to Coral's efforts he's now safely back in the hands of his family. Things can finally get back to normal now. Right...?

Since his rescue from Hollidae, he’s been concerned about little Jasper, out exploring with all sorts of untrustworthy customers. And worse still, they’ve been imprisoning ghosts in those awful orbs! That’s just not cricket. In order to handle this affront to the practice of exorcism, he’s teamed up with some unlikely allies: the new guy in town, Cliff Mason, and an old enemy made ally by circumstance...

The wondrous goddess of Love (and other domains!)

Hollidae is her domain, an island that stories say she personally raised up from the bottom of the sea! The Goddess has nothing but Love for all her subjects, her Champion Jiro most of all.

One of her domains, as it happens, is of the weather. The sun, the rain, the storms. And when she gets emotional, she sometimes finds herself... losing control.

—Proteus—

The dark god himself, patron of hard work and toil. An immensely powerful magician, Proteus is disgusted by the ways of Hollidae and seeks to end their carefree days.

With the Goddess’ Love Champion missing, his assaults on the island are growing bolder.

His motivation for this goes beyond just simple distaste for their ways: as the world is corrupted by more and more glitches, Proteus has become convinced that urgent action is needed. If the Goddess and her people won’t help resolve this problem of their own volition, then he will force them to act, by whatever means necessary.

The little angel. Watch her run! Watch her die. Over and over. Does she ever give up? Does she even know how?

In her yelping frustration she wanted it all to burn down, and she almost did. She's been so close. She could almost taste it.

Oh, what a delight! These girls have taken her in. They call her Nix, they act so sweet. And in return, why, she is so very very rude to them. Where are her manners? And in return, she spoils their plans, burns away their olive branches, sets the rage of the Major in their hands and insists they control it -- and now she feels the sting of the bite returned!

She knows not the name of the twisting she feels inside. But she knows it must be quelled. Move as fast as you can, little one! Before you catch a glimpse of the mirror!

This bastard has nothing, really. Nothing to give, nothing to take. He'll drive stakes under his nails over and over again and he'll convince himself this gives him power. Because he chose to do it, understand. He chose it. Nobody can take that from him.

And then they took that from him too. The agony is sharper when another wields the mallet. There was a comfort in the dignity, the lie that melts now into acid. The reptiles have a use for him. They will not let him wallow.

The chain is short. The crab drags its sister down.

The light can never shine for long down here. The hands rise from the pit, just outside the gates, and they tear victory from your feeble jaw. Do it again. Do it again. Do it again.

But where do the winding arms meet? Some pitiful creature, at the bottom of the pit. But it's free now. It plants flowers underneath an ever-shining sun, standing at the side of that grass-haired girl. It has a name now: Yadiel.

Look at this little one! Taken out to someplace else, to see the sun and stars. The sun, the stars? What are they, even? The chains are gone, and yet...

Allen, the man coos. A little plush he can cradle in his arms. Let him have this, just this. He can dream a little while longer.

They saw so much behind walls of electric glass. A witness by their resonant heart.

Through the charity of the tired-eyed boy, their wings now spread wide over the sea-green skies of someplace else. A bond has been forged which lingers past infinity.

Their idle claws seek mischief. What better way to celebrate new freedom?

The winged serpent laughs. The punchline recurs like an echo through an empty cathedral, over and over and over and over... had this one been blessed with a mouth they would readily bite their own tail in recognition.

The Major, clipped wings with hands of steel, she doesn’t understand. She scarcely even smiles as the world tells its joke. The winged one rides along in her armour and laughs in her stead. A chorus to the futility. Someday she’ll see.

Now? Now he's a man all alone. Luckily, he's found himself living inside his favorite game, Home Bound, surrounded by friendly animal folk.

That's good, right? That takes the sting out of learning everyone you've ever loved is dead? He’d started bonding with the younger Mundy, but the reappearance of old enemies and some heated arguments he's had now have him in a bit of a state.

Now the late Mundy patriarch, Rex, has swept in to offer him a new purpose. Keep an eye on the kid, and help free the ghosts that Casandra has trapped. Cliff can’t deny he wants to help, but there’s something that feels wrong about all this that he can’t put his finger on.

When Earth was destroyed, Mercy was the only one of her colleagues who refused to lose hope. She held on.

She never told Cliff what happened to their homeworld. Maybe she couldn't bring herself to say it. Maybe she just wanted to use him. She kept sending him on pointless missions, week after week, year after year, until the lie could no longer hold itself aloft.

She'd resigned herself to being the last human left after that, but meeting Jiro and Polyta has given her a strange kind of hope. She’s decided she’ll help them fight their battles with the dark god Proteus. Whether they like it or not.
